Vincent is chair of the Fundraising & Public Relations sub-committee of the Trustee Board. His committee focuses on the development and sustainability of Suffolk West Citizens Advice in an uncertain and fluctuating funding environment.
Vincent’s background is in local government, as a librarian being promoted to the senior management team in cultural services. He gained a diploma in Public Relations in 2005.
In 2006 he was made redundant among changes to the County Council structure. He seized the opportunity to go to India with VSO for two years helping people affected by HIV. His passion for travel continued in 2011-12 when he went to Ghana, fundraising for good causes with a local authority in a country town.
Vincent has a dedication and passion for Citizens Advice, firstly from his late wife Kim, who started as a volunteer in Bury St Edmunds in 1995, moved onto a paid role in Mildenhall and then managed the Sudbury bureau until her death in 2004.
In addition to Citizens Advice Vincent takes an active role with VSO and is on the national committee of the Publicity and Public Relations Group of CILIP (the body which represents librarians).
