Lyn McIntyre has a 46 year career in nursing and healthcare, spanning adult and mental health nursing up to board level, regional and national roles at NHS England, NHS Improvement and Department of Health and Social Care in e-rostering, safe staffing, metrics development and patient safety.
Lyn was also the national nursing clinical workforce lead in both Lord Carter’s national acute and mental health and community services productivity and efficiency reviews.
Her dedication to nursing and healthcare was recognised with an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June 2014, following the development of the ‘Stop the Pressure’ strategy across the Midlands and East region, reducing pressure ulcers across all care settings by 50% and working with patients and carers as partners in care.
Lyn currently works part time as a Non Executive Director at Oceans Blue, an automated rostering management system for the NHS.
When not working Lyn’s hobbies include reading, travel, crafting and spending time with her family.
