Running a Marathon
When Tim Page of local financial planning firm Page Russell Ltd was looking for a charity to support when running the London Marathon, the Citizens Advice Bureau seemed like a natural choice. “I spend my working day giving advice and helping people to plan for a secure future, so raising money for the CAB was a logical step.” Already over 300 miles into a gruelling training programme, sponsorship has helped Tim to keep going forward despite 5am starts and a painful tendon injury. In April 2017, he ran the London Marathon in a creditable time and raised over £1,500 for Citizens Advice. He is not alone. We’ve had people skydiving and dressing up in Super Hero costumes. We’ve had quizzes and dances and speciality dinners.
Have you got any ideas you would like to try and help raise funds for Citizens Advice?
