We are looking for an adviser to work with patients identified by the Long Covid Clinic at West Suffolk Hospital as needing help with their social welfare issues (benefits, debts, housing, employment, isolation, and loneliness etc). You will provide the most appropriate advice, help and support to clients, including identifying additional benefits, grants, and negotiating on behalf of clients with third parties. You will work collaboratively with other services and organisations and make referrals to provide the best possible outcome for the patient. As part of the role, you will raise awareness of Long Covid symptoms and the support available to improve people’s health and wellbeing. You will be based at our Bury St Edmunds office with some flexibility to work from home or one of our other West Suffolk offices. There will be a requirement to attend meetings, presentations and events in-person across West Suffolk, which may include a few evenings. This role will report to the Advice Services Manager. Job share considered.
