Once again, Citizens Advice held their Chinese New Year Celebration at Edmunds Restaurant at West Suffolk College. The evening was a delight with sixty guests enjoying the rhythms and vivid colours of the Chinese Dragon Dancers and a sumptuous spread. The Chair of trustees Chris Cadman called out 20 of the students, training in front of house and from the kitchen, to take a hearty round of applause.
The drinks were courtesy of Peatlings who supplied the excellent wines at a very generous discount. Much of the income – £2,000 – was generated by the money raised at the Prize Draw with kind contributions by Hughes in Bury, Bill’s and Café Rouge. The evening ended with a thrilling auction of prizes by Simon Spence QC. All in a great cause.
