Our strength as a service is in using the information we collect from clients anonymously to provide direct evidence of the impact on them of changes to policies and practices.
We have a strong research and campaigning team which also works within a cluster group of local Citizens Advice offices on joint projects. The team is currently reviewing our development plan, and deciding on future campaigns.
Over the last year we have looked at the availability of local mental health services in Haverhill, reviewed the transparency of letting agencies’ fees information to clients in compliance with the change in law, as well as single issues of poor practice.
We are currently carrying out a survey of the impact of Universal Credit on local claimants which will enable us to review the implementation of the government’s recent changes.
